Prayer & Meditation for the Sick

When -  Tuesday Evenings 7pm in the Church Annexe

Each week a group meets to remember in prayer, folk who are ill or who are in any other kind of need. The meeting begins with a prayer that was written by the first Minister of The Heath, then there is a short devotional fellowship led either by our Minister or one of the group members. Some people pray silently, others will name aloud the people for whom they have a particular concern. The meeting usually lasts about twenty minutes. It is a time of real fellowship; those who attend wouldn’t willingly miss it. New members are welcomed. There is a box in the porch into which anyone can put prayer requests.

The group hold series of sessions which last for 5 or 6 weeks. Each series is self- contained. We try to be open to different ways of thinking and being. By looking at the writings of the Bible and modern scholars we seek fresh understanding of ways in which our faith can be comprehensible and believable in the twenty first century.    We enrich each other through our discussions.    All are welcome to join us.
